Kyle Caldwell
Captain Kyle Caldwell enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1990 and was commissioned as a Naval Officer 2001. As a career Naval Officer, he has served onboard eight Aircraft Carriers, and he has held various positions to include, Maintenance Officer, Foreign Exchange Officer, Fleet Liaison, French Translator, Aircraft Handling Officer, Weapons Officer, Staff Officer, and Executive & Commanding Officer. Currently, he is the Air Systems Officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces, responsible for Aircraft Launch & Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Aviation Fuel Certifications. Additionally, as the ALRE Acquisition Sustainment Team Lead, he is the lynchpin for Integrated Logistics Support Planning and Configuration Management across the entire U.S. Navy.
Captain Caldwell is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. He earned his Graduate Degree with distinction from Florida Institute
of Technology in Acquisitions and Contracts in 2013. Additionally, he attended the Naval War College where he obtained his Joint Professional Military Education and second Graduate Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies in 2021. He is also a graduate from the Defense Language Institute in French and is a member of the Acquisition Corps with Level III and Level II certifications in Life Cycle Logistics and Program Management respectively. He has earned multiple personal awards and is the recipient of three Navy and Marine Corps Leadership Awards.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys speaking at venues on leadership, personal and professional development. He is an advocate for higher education and devotes much of his time mentoring young leaders in transitioning from transactional to transformational leadership. When he is not speaking, lecturing or mentoring, he enjoys flying Pipers, studying stoic philosophy, foreign languages, and playing guitar, as well as making his own ice for an enjoyable bourbon on the rocks.
He is married to Mrs. Eve M. Caldwell, also a retired Naval Officer, and they have four children: Francois, Danielle, Kyle II, and Kaitlyn.
