Fred Manak’s employment experience encompasses 40 years in Pharma/Biotech across 8 companies, both large and small, including start-up companies. His expertise is facilitating access to medications to physicians and ultimately patients. This was done through setting product pricing, establishing distribution networks, designing patient assistance programs, and executing payer contracts. In 2021 Fred and a partner founded a consulting firm focused on assisting start up Biotech organizations preparing for commercial launch. From there he transitioned to retirement in 2024.

Fred served as corporate liaison at Acadia Pharmaceutical to the Parkinson Action Network (PAN) from 2015-2018.
He also managed company funding for a number of 501c3 foundations. These foundations provide funding to assist patients in financial need to procure their medications. He enjoys participating in numerous disease walks/runs to raise funds to support patients and research ,including for AVM, Multiple Myeloma, Parkinson’s disease and Pulmonary fibrosis.

Fred and his wife Mary settled in San Diego in 2015 after moving across the country many times for work.
