Steven Kempa

Steven Kempa is a Project Leader and Business Developer at Mc Furhman & Associates. MCFA is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in program management, construction management, and owner’s representation for public and private clients nationwide. MCFA’s West Coast expansion is being led by Steven, who is establishing a regional presence based in San Diego. The goal is to build a long-term CM/PM practice that mirrors the firm’s East Coast success—partnering with public agencies, developers, and institutional clients to deliver high-quality capital projects.

A childhood participation in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps fostered Steven’s lifelong commitment to service and leadership, leading to attendance at the U.S. Naval Academy and ten years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as a CH-53E Helicopter pilot. He was selected as Class Leader during UC San Diego MBA at Rady School of Management where he earned his MBA.

His ongoing community involvement includes volunteering to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to active-duty military personnel and Veterans, assisting with youth classes at Alliance BJJ San Diego, and mentoring with Rooted Futures, a local nonprofit dedicated to guiding and empowering at-risk young men. Hi wife Amanda is a black belt and a recent BJJ World Champion!

Steven thanks his sponsors Tom Cohen, David Oates and Will Hage.
