Melody French

Melody French, Clinical Psychologist, has a private practice in Rancho Bernardo where she has worked for the past ten years providing psychological services to the community. She works with trauma, anxiety, depression and dissociative disorders using evidence based tools and a compassionate therapeutic relationship to help improve quality of life and individual client goals for youth and adults.

Melody grew up in Key Club and served as lieutenant governor in the Kentucky/Tennessee region. After college she served as an Americorps volunteer on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. During her social work career her civic activity included co-chairing Central Kentucky Council for Peace and Justice as well as volunteering for many other nonprofit organizations.

She is the current co-leader of her daughter’s girl scout troop, and is planning a second medical mission in 2027 with Starfish International, a girl’s school in Gambia, West Africa. As a cancer survivor Melody is most excited about her board work with Womanity Portrait Foundation, a nonprofit that combines art and storytelling to help women heal from cancer.

Melody thanks her sponsors Wendy Urushima-Conn, Vicki Gee Horiye and Courtney Pendleton.
