Virtual Online Meeting-In Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote

09 3, 2020 at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Personal reflections on the evolution how far we’ve come in 100 years

Deborah Szekely, honored by San Diego Rotary as Mrs. San Diego in 2002, was born a mere two years after women in America secured the right to vote through the passage of the 19th Amendment. Through the lens of her life experience; as a woman, a successful entrepreneur, an influential civic leader, an important force in Latin American affairs during the George H.W. Bush administration, a sought after speaker and writer, a wife, mother, and grandmother, Deborah will share her views in conversation with Mary Walshok, PhD, one of the early women members of the Rotary Club and currently Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Programs and Dean of University Extension, UC San Diego.
