Mara Elliott, San Diego City Attorney

San Diego City Attorney Mara W. Elliott will discuss how her office combats domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking through comprehensive services. These services are increasingly important during the pandemic when many victims are sheltering at home with their abusers. The San Diego Family Justice Center offers a safe space for victims to rebuild their lives. Through a collaborative model, the needs of victims are met, violence is stopped, families heal, and hope is realized. Yvette Lopez-Cooper, Executive Director of the San Diego Family Justice, will join the City Attorney for this presentation.
