Captain Chris Cavanaugh, USN – Argentine Sub Rescue

CAPT Cavanaugh is the Commander of Submarine Squadron 11 located at Naval Base Point Loma.  The Squadron consists of five Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines, Undersea Rescue Command, a floating dry dock, and a headquarters staff.  CAPT Cavanaugh will discuss Undersea Rescue Command’s deployment last year as part of the search and rescue effort for a missing Argentine submarine, ARA SAN JUAN.
