The mission of the San Diego Regional Policy & Innovation Center—or “PIC”—is to unlock the region’s full potential by cultivating partnerships, conducting research, and recruiting federal, state, and philanthropic funding to the region. PIC tackles complex issues that can only be solved with cross-sector, multijurisdictional collaborations. They work to forge strong alliances that bring about a more thriving and equitable region. PIC currently has $130m in grants in the development pipeline and is conducting a dozen research projects with partners to inform long-term strategic planning for the region.
