Joe Torrillo: NYC Fireman During the 9/11 Terrorist Attack
04 20, 2023 at 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
Joe Torrillo, a career Lieutenant with the New York City Fire Dept., was one of the first rescuers on the horrific scene as two airplanes flew into the World Trade Center.
With a college degree in Construction Technology, Joe knew without a doubt that the Towers were doomed to collapse. Without regard for his own safety, Joe stood up to his vow on becoming a fireman twenty years before that he’d be willing to risk and sacrifice his own life in a desperate effort to save trapped victims during the greatest rescue effort ever witnessed.
