Mentoring to Success: President Phil Blair’s Initiative

Join us as we finally get to roll out President Phil’s mentoring initiative for this year!  We have an opportunity to add another layer of community involvement for our 500 members.  Our goal is to have our club provide 100, and hopefully more, mentoring match ups of members and young people in need of some professional guidance.

Peter Callstrom, fellow Rotarian and President of the San Diego Workforce Partnership, will be the Chair of this initiative and we will learn much more about the dynamics of the program from Peter.  Also joining us will be Nancy Scott, her mentee Shaneese Evans,  Don Wells of Just in Time for Foster Youth and a student who is seeking a mentor.  We will also talk about the value of internships for both the employer and the student/intern.
