Women Peacemakers 2016

Currently in residence at the USD Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice are four women Peacemakers from Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan and Western Sahara. These women are negotiators, campaign leaders and advocates in their respective countries, fighting for human rights, women’s rights and for peace. On October 27, Jane Anyango of Kenya, Hamsatu Allamin of Nigeria, Khurshid Bano of Pakistan and Fatma Mehdi Hasam of Western Sahara will speak at our luncheon meeting about their work in their countries and help us to understand the situations in a way that we cannot learn from the news.
