DESCRIPTION:Peter Callstrom\, President & CEO of San Diego Workforce Partnership\, will highlight the significant role of San Diego’s healthcare organizations as major employers\, and discuss the demands for a qualified workforce for the healthcare sector.  Max Villalobos\, Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals San Diego Service Area\, will preview the opening of the new $1 billion flagship Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center\, and discuss the future of patient care through technology and innovation. \nThe New Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center \nMore than 1\,000 new jobs are being created at this new flagship hospital\, located in Kearney Mesa (Interstate 15 and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard)\, which will be the first certified LEED Platinum healthcare facility in the world. This is a sneak peek opportunity to learn about the incredible process of building and opening a $1 billion facility\, including dramatic drone footage of the construction and time lapse of the project\, as well the intricate process of opening for patient care. There have been folks dedicated to every detail of that process for more than two years. The new facility will be unveiled to the public on April 25\, 2017. \n
