DESCRIPTION:Progress in the Fight against Cancer \nThomas A. Buchholz\, M.D.\, serves as the Senior Vice President and Medical Director of the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center\, a comprehensive and clinically integrated cancer care program in San Diego that opened for patient care in October\, 2018. \nHe will be sharing the exciting developments in cancer treatment and research and hope these advances offer new hope for patients and families who confront this disease. The presentation will cover some basic information about cancer and its treatments\, as well as share new opportunities for our San Diego community that has resulted from the exciting partnership between Scripps Health Care System and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
