DESCRIPTION:Recruiting new members has always been a key strength of our club. The Membership Committee\, combined with many of your efforts during the pandemic\, continues to find ways to recruit\, recommend and submit new candidates for membership. Our first virtual prospective member reception was very successful so we are excited to announce a second event on Thursday\, January 7\, at 11:00 am -11:55 am. (this will take the place of our usual Lobby Chat that day). \nPlease invite a prospective member (or two) to attend this special event with you so they could learn more about Rotary and our club. DESCRIPTION:We are kicking off the New Year with one of our most popular programs. We will have economic and market advisors join us to analyze\, and may even debate\, how stocks\, bonds and other investment assets will fare over the next 12 months. They will talk current trends and give us their expert predictions for 2021. Be sure to come prepared with your questions! \nOur expert speaker lineup: \n Jan Inscho is a portfolio specialist at Capital Group Private Client Services\, part of Capital Group. She has 41 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 19 years. Prior to joining Capital\, Jan was a director with Lazard Freres & Co. in the Private Clients Group\, directing investment strategy and managing portfolios for families and foundations. Before that\, she was a health care analyst and portfolio manager at Warburg Pincus Counsellors\, as well as a director at Rothschild Inc. Additionally\, she was an analyst with Columbus Circle Investors. She holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Emory University. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Jan is based in New York. \nCapital Group/ American Funds is a global investment manager.  They include a distinctive way of managing money\, an emphasis on research and a long term view and recognition of the power of relationships.  Today they ae one of the worlds largest investment management organizations\, managing more than $1.9 Trillion. \nBob Carey is with First Trust Investments.  Bob holds a CFA designation (Certified Financial Anaylyst) and is the Chief Market Strategist for First Trust.  Bob has over three decades of experience as an Equity and Fix Income Analyst.  Bob travels throughout the United States and Canada giving brokers and investors clear and concise analysis in understanding the markets\, current trends and what he believes are opportunities today and beyond.  He has appeared on Bloomberg TV\, CNBC and numerous radio programs.  He is been quoted in several publications including The Wall Street Journal\, The Wall Street Reporter\, Bloomberg News Service and Registered Rep.
