DESCRIPTION:The Future is “Hear”! \nThe San Diego Symphony is pleased to unveil a long-awaited dream of theirs and the city\, a premiere state-of-the-art outdoor waterfront performance venue for all of San Diego to enjoy. The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park will have its grand opening weekend on August 6th  featuring their fabulous orchestra and music Director Rafael Payare\,“Best of Broadway” on August 7th\, and Gladys Knight with Naturally 7 on August 8th. \nMartha Gilmer\, CEO of the San Diego Symphony\, will be joining us to talk about the Shell’s journey to fruition and all of the exciting events they have coming up. \nMartha was named Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in October 2014 and leads the institution in realizing all areas of its mission: expanding its programming\, increasing its community engagement\, heightening its artistic profile\, and building its capacity to share transformative experiences. \nFor more information on The Rady Shell’s inaugural season\, visit www.theshell.org. \n
