DESCRIPTION:It is Shaka Johnson’s life mission is to have a positive impact on the lives of others – at home\, at work\, and in his community. He looks forward to talking about the impact we can all have on those around us. With that\, he will also discuss how Sony Electronics has approached the positive impact the company can have\, and his passionate support of the organization in those efforts. \nShaka Johnson currently leads the legal department at Sony Electronics Inc. as Vice President & Associate General Counsel\, and Secretary. As head of the department\, Shaka and his team are responsible for corporate security and traditional legal affairs for the business in North America. \nShaka was named one of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Top-10 30 Somethings in 2014\, participated as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow in 2018\, and was recognized as a “Leader in Law” by the San Diego Business Journal in 2020. \nIn 2019\, he had the humbling honor of delivering the commencement address at his alma mater\, USD School of Law\, and earlier this year the National Diversity Counsel recognized him as one of the most influential African Americans in Business.
