Join Paige Howorth\, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance McKinney Family Curator of Invertebrates\, for a special introduction to the San Diego Zoo’s newly opened Wildlife Explorer Basecamp experience. The most expansive habitat in the Zoo’s 106-year history has transformed the previous space of the old Children’s Zoo with four distinct ecosystems—including Wild Woods\, Rainforest\, Marsh Meadows\, and Desert Dunes—giving explorers of all ages the opportunity to experience the world through wildlife’s perspective. Paige will share with us the vision\, planning\, design\, and completion of these amazing interactive habitats for some of the most incredible wildlife—big and small. \n
