DESCRIPTION:The Sheriff’s Department provides patrol and investigative services throughout San Diego County. The department operates seven detention facilities\, a forensic laboratory\, Search and Rescue and SWAT operations\, aerial support\, intelligence operations and specialized investigations\, including homicide\, sexual assault\, and high tech crime. Amidst the daily challenges\, there are some high profile issues the sheriff must tackle personally.
