DESCRIPTION:Carl Vonderau is an award-winning author of crime fiction. As a child growing up in Cleveland\, he loved to write. His ghost stories scared the bejesus out of other kids. But it took a long time to become a full-time author. He left Cleveland to study at Stanford\, then spent more than thirty years as a banker in the U.S.\, Latin America\, and North Africa. Those international settings were sources of inspiration for his books. His first novel\, Murderabilia was published in 2019 and won a Left Coast Crime award for Best Debut\, and a San Diego Book award for Best Mystery. His second novel\, Saving Myles\, was published in August\, 2023. \nWorking with nonprofits is also important to Carl. He is the president of Partners in Crime\, the San Diego chapter of Sisters in Crime\, an organization that supports authors and fans of crime writing. He also volunteers with San Diego Social Venture Partners to mentor other nonprofits. \nCarl lives with his wife in San Diego. DESCRIPTION:Brian Dutcher enters his seventh season as head coach after six years in which he led the Aztecs to six Mountain West title games\, their conference-high 11th\, 12th\, 13th\, 14th\, 15th and 16th Mountain West crowns and four trips to the NCAA tournament\, including a run to the 2023 national championship game. Along the way Dutcher’s Aztecs became the first Mountain West program to win a game in the Sweet-16\, Elite 8 and Final Four. \nDutcher\, who took the helm of the program following Steve Fisher’s retirement announcement on April 11\, 2017\, was on The Mesa for all of Fisher’s 18 seasons. He held the title of associate head coach/head coach in waiting for six years and is the program’s 15th head coach.

DESCRIPTION:Jennifer Tuteur\, MD\, FAAFP\, serves as the County’s Interim Chief Medical Officer\, supporting access to quality\, timely and evidence-based care in San Diego’s communities. Dr. Tuteur is passionate about improving the health of underserved communities. \nShe held leadership roles at several Community Health Centers for more than a decade. As Medical Director of the County Medical Services / Low Income Health Program for 5 years\, Dr. Tuteur piloted mental health integration and expansion of healthcare coverage prior to the ACA. She volunteered as a Clinical Instructor at UCSD Department of Family Medicine for nearly a decade\, and continues to enjoy teaching. \nDr. Tuteur earned her BA from Yale University and her MD at the University of Missouri-Columbia\, where she published research on family violence. She worked as a Program Analyst in the Office of the Surgeon General\, and then completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine in Minnesota.
