SUMMARY:Bob Russell - Roasted
DESCRIPTION:This annual event will surely please as we highlight a year’s worth of our illustrious president’s malapropos\, miscues\, and mysterious mannerisms. It will be a laugh out loud experience\, all in good fun in honor of one who has done so much for our club\, most notable during these past 12 months. In true “you only hurt the ones you love” spirit\, this will be a program for the books. Get to the Liberty Station Conference Center early to laugh at and laud Bob!

San Diego is on the front line of this battle\, and one woman has taken it upon herself to do more for those who climbed their way out of it. Hear from attorney Jamie Quient\, founder of Free to Thrive\, about the nonprofit’s mission to empower survivors of human trafficking to thrive and be free from exploitation by providing them with legal services and connections to other supportive services. SUMMARY:Vicente Fox\, Former President of Mexico
DESCRIPTION:In the year 2000\, Vicente Fox became the first President of Mexico elected from an opposition party since 1910. Fox began his career as a truck driver for Coca-Cola\, rose to become President of Coca-Cola Mexico\, and graduated from Harvard Business School. While often outspoken on controversial issues\, he’s always been a steadfast advocate for stronger U.S.-Mexico relations. President Fox’s local impact includes serving as a board member for the San Diego-based nonprofit Reality Changers. \nOn Friday\, April 13\, we were informed that President Fox will need to be in Mexico City on the 19th and therefore will be speaking to us remotely via Skype instead.  \nClub 33 members: If you will be bringing guests to this program\, click here to register them.  Thank you.

SUMMARY:Spy Secrets As Told By One Who Prosecuted Them
DESCRIPTION:The Experience of a Lifetime By Prosecuting a Soviet Spy \nIn 1981\, at the height of the Cold War\, the U.S. was secretly developing\, at the Hughes Aircraft Company in LA\, the next generation of products that would allow airplanes to fly invisible to all known conventional radar. The technology would have given us an incredible advantage over the Warsaw Pact countries we opposed in Eastern Europe. \nWhen the theft of the ultra top secret technology by a deeply embedded KGB spy was discovered\, the FBI investigation and prosecution in Los Angeles Federal Court of the culprit impacted a young prosecutor’s life for almost 3 decades. That true story will be told by local attorney Robert Brewer. \n
