Scott Carr
Scott Carr is Executive Director of San Diego County Bar Association. He first joined the Association’s staff in 2024 as Director of Marketing and Membership, later stepping into broader leadership roles before being promoted to Deputy Executive Director. Before joining the SDCBA, Scott had a career in marketing, community relations, and organizational leadership — from leading firmwide initiatives at Klinedinst PC, to founding a successful marketing agency serving law firms, to pioneering one of the first estate planning websites.
He also served numerous leadership roles in Rotary International. He was President of the San Diego Downtown Rotary Club, eventually serving as District Governor of all Rotary clubs in San Diego and Imperial counties. Along the way, he has worked side-by-side with countless legal organizations, elected officials, community nonprofits, and civic leaders, always with a focus on bringing people together and creating opportunities for all.
He attended University of San Diego Business School graduating with honors in marketing and finance. With his wife, Heather Rosing, he co-founded the Lawyers Are Funny (LAF-Off) fundraiser for the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program (SDVLP). He also served as an advisory board member for Sepsis Alliance and served on the board of Friends of Balboa Park (today known as Forever Balboa Park). In recognition of his service, he is a past recipient of SDVLP’s Community Service Award, and continues to remain active in the San Diego community.
Scott thanks his sponsors Michael Brunker, David Oates and John Morrell.
